Ultimate Engineering sells a PC plug in pattern generator board. This board has up to 512MBytes of SDRAM that can stream out at up to 40MHz. The depth to stream and speed is fully programmable. Data comes out 36 bits wide with gated clock or free running synchronous clock. Various daughtercards can be made to match your interface.
The Deep Pattern Generator can also read in data. This feature can be used to debug an interface problem. Run your test that fails, capture the failing pattern. Analyze them, or play them out in loop mode, to cause the failure over and over for debug.
The software currently runs on WinNT and Win95. Select frequency, download file, hardware tests, etc.
